The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic, full-time Workforce Lead to support the efficient delivery of Urgent Care Clinics and services across NSW and the ACT. This role holds end-to-end accountability for the GP workforce lifecycle, including onboarding, engagement, retention, and continuity of service delivery. Based out of our Leichhardt, NSW offices and reporting to the Head of State, you will leverage your strong leadership and coordination skills to manage a small team of Urgent Care Clinical Coordinators. This team is responsible for GP rostering, invoicing, and operational support within a fast-paced urgent care environment. By building and maintaining strong, measurable relationships with GPs that drive high engagement and retention, you will champion operational efficiency and support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care across the region. Your Responsibilities As a hands-on Urgent Care Workforce Lead, you will drive the GP workforce lifecycle, supporting successful onboarding, high engagement, increased retention, and continuity of service. You will achieve this by forging strong relationships and collaborating closely with a passionate team and key stakeholders to deliver exceptional patient care, safety, and service standards. Lead the end-end GP workforce lifecycle, including onboarding, engagement, retention, rostering and continuity of service delivery across NSW/ACT Urgent Care Centres. Build and maintain strong relationships with GP’s through regular communication, welfare check-ins and clinical engagement forums in partnership with senior clinical leaders. Drive operational efficiency by optimising GP availability, proactively filling vacant shifts, and ensuring service delivery requirements are consistently met. Lead and develop a small team of Urgent Care Clinical Coordinators, including performance management, training, professional development, and effective communication. Oversee GP rostering, workforce planning, and forecasting using data-driven insights to anticipate staffing needs, seasonal fluctuations, and service expansion. Develop and maintain effective workforce policies, processes, and systems to support stakeholder engagement, data tracking, and operational consistency. Manage key stakeholder relationships, proactively addressing issues, aligning expectations, and ensuring systems and processes meet GP needs. Contribute to financial performance by monitoring workforce-related costs, reviewing P&L performance, and supporting achievement of budget and EBITDA targets. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies, reporting requirements, and organisational standards. Why Join Us? To be successful in the role, you will need to: Hold a relevant tertiary qualification or degree in a business or related discipline. Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in any of the following: Recruitment: In house or agency Hospital Business Development management Medical Sales Possess extensive experience in relationship management preferably within a healthcare setting. Hold previous experience in a management or team leader role. Have proven experience in roster management or a related field, preferably within a healthcare setting. Demonstrate confidence in negotiating and influencing stakeholders through effective relationship building.
